Through the Panama Canal

It is always interesting and amazing to transit through the Panama Canal. We have done it several times, and each time we see something different. There is always boat traffic, but it was relatively uncrowded this time. The entire passage took about 8 hours and the weather was not unbearably hot. The clouds came in and it sprinkled. We watched from various vantage points on the ship, but mostly our veranda. Since we are on Deck 6, when the ship lowered in the canal, all we viewed was a wall. The canal workers are very friendly and Happy New Year was the saying of the day, in English and in Spanish.
By the way.........Happy New Year to everyone!

What good is a blog without pictures? Well, the internet doesn't want to cooperate, so here is the text and will send the pics when things are working better.
